The division of EISLAB at the Department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering within Luleå University of Technology (LTU), Sweden, has 13 positions available for PhD students. EISLAB is an extensive research group of about 45 people. A major application focus is towards ProcessIT and Automation. Project description

Core objective is support for robust and secure standardized communication in sensor networks. The general approach is based on heterogeneous sensor networks and the service oriented architecture (SOA) approach combined with mobility constraints for reducing threats to citizens. The key vision is to enhance robust and secure communication for safety critical applications.

Qualifications and bases of assessment

We seek candidates with a MSc/ degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Physics, Space engineering or similar areas, preferably with a strong interest or experience in sensors, electronics, electro magnetics or embedded systems.
