Masters-by-research scholarships Nuclear Engineering and Shipping

For the second year running the Engineering Department at Lancaster University in the UK is pleased to invite applications from excellent graduate engineers to study for Masters-by research qualifications.

This programme, sponsored by the Sir John Fisher Foundation, provides generous support to the most promising young engineers of their generation to complement their undergraduate degrees with a research-focussed MSc of the highest quality. The programme invites applications for up to four studentships based on engineering research projects in the nuclear engineering and/or shipping fields for a study period of twelve months, full-time. These research studentships are conducted in close collaboration with industry where possible.

To be eligible for consideration you must hold an upper-second degree in an Engineering, Applied Physics, Chemical Engineering or related science-based discipline, or be able to demonstrate significant prior experiential learning in addition to your academic achievements. Industrial experience would be a significant advantage, especially in the industrial sectors of interest as would a demonstrable ability to pursue independent, academic research.

For further queries please contact Miss Gail Neville at g.neville@lancaster.ac.uk. Application is made online via the postgraduate link from the Lancaster University homepage.
